Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is the newest entry in the Rune Factory series, set in the eastern lands known as Azuma.
To save Azuma from its gradual collapse, players will traverse vast lands and skies on an adventurous quest to find the Gods. In daily life, players can rebuild their village, creating a cozy home uniquely their own.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma features the series' largest roster of romanceable characters with 16 potential partners. Through daily interactions, players can deepen relationships, get married, and even welcome the birth of children. Additionally, the game supports same-sex marriage and features romance routes for both protagonists, allowing more players to experience romance in their own way.
Both the main storyline and romance events feature full voice acting, delivering a more immersive gaming experience.

Set in the eastern lands known as Azuma, this game opens a new chapter in the Rune Factory series. Protagonists Kaguya and Subaru, along with their partner Woolby, will embark on a fantasy journey blending adventure and daily life alongside characters they meet along the way. In Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, players are taking the role of the “Earth Dancer”, making your way finding the lost gods and saving the land of the “Azuma”. During your travel, trustable comrades and bonded monsters will fight along your side, facing unknown challenges together.
In this series, the teaming system supports up to 6 characters, including 3 main characters and 3 alternate characters, players are encouraged to build your own adventure team with combinations of your own choice.
On Exploration, players are able to travel in the air with White Dragon, placing your footsteps on the sky islands. These islands are different on its own, awaiting players to explore and adventure. During your adventure you might also encounter all new events.
As for the Battle System, it has provided “short sword”, “long sword”, “Dual Blades”, “Bow” and “Talisman”. Players may switch between weapons tailoring to your fighting style. Where “Bow” and “Talisman” are Brand new long-ranged weapons for the series, bringing a different experience for your battle.
Except for Adventure and Battle System, Village Life System is also one of the Main Aspect Experiences in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. Under the help of the Earth Dancer, abandoned village under the effect of“Celestial Collapse” starts to restore its life essence.
The story begins at the “Spring Village”, as the story moves on, players may visit other iconic villages such as “Summer Village”、”Autumn Village”and ”Winter Village”. Each village is tied with its season, players are able to plant crops without limitation of the season, and enjoy farming life in all 4 seasons.
Villages would hold festivals on special dates, players may confirm details through the calendar. During the Festival, players might interact with villagers and get to know a different side of them. On the other hand, through the ledgers in the shrine, you might organize a competition on a designated date. Enjoying a lively festival atmosphere.
Players may increase“Bond Level” through communication with characters. Not only inviting for adventure but players may also encounter special events and requests with them. When bonding with specific characters, players may start a romance story and finally have the chance to get married, give birth to children and establish your own family. This series supports same-sex marriage, providing a freely romantic selection.
Moreover, the series added a brand new system “Rewoven Fates”, players may maintain relationship of marriage with your current characters and children, moving to another world. Players may go back and forth between saved worlds and the original world. Players may save up to 30 different WLNumber.
In Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, players are going to build terrain and buildings, restore your own village step by step. The restoration of villages may not only make your life easier and also strengthen characters ability, improve the efficiency of the industry.
Through placing “field tiles”, players are able to plant different crops according to seasons. At the same time, players may build living places, blacksmiths, pharmacies and other functional buildings, players may also make buildings, food, medicine and other items.
From a convenient living base to a stylish village, you design how your village goes, all depending on your own preferences.
In this series, villagers help in harvesting, collecting resources and business managing, players may assign jobs according to their playing style, players may also focus on adventure, and let villagers help on the way of farming. Each villager has their own personality and specialisation, well managing your human resource to enhance your village.
During your travel, players may build up bonds with monsters and let them live together in the [Barn]. On the other hand, specific monsters such as Buffamoo and Cluckadoodle make different kinds of items for players to use.
Completion of “Village Mission” may accumulate points such that you may increase village level. After leveling up, players may unlock extra buildings and accept more villagers.
At the end of each day, Woolby would provide a “Village Report” for village planning, including information such as level, population, Happaniest etc..
